Budget Settings

    Select My Finances → Settings in the left vertical menu.
  • If the menu is not visible, click the menu icon in the top-left corner.
  • In the mobile app, tap the menu icon in the top-left corner, then tap Settings.
    Make sure the Budget Settings tab is active. If not, click the Budget Settings tab.


Overview

The Budget Settings tab contains settings that apply only to the currently selected budget.
You can have different settings for each budget (for example, different currencies or number formats).


Locale

Currency

Select the currency you want to use for the active budget.
You can use a different currency in each budget, but each budget supports only one currency.


Currency Symbol Placement

When you select a currency, the symbol placement is automatically set according to the official standard. You can change it manually if needed.
Available options:
  • Before amount with space
  • Before amount without space
  • After amount with space
  • After amount without space


Number Format

The default number format is: 1,234.56
You can choose one of the following formats:
  • 1,234.56
  • 1.234,56
  • 1 234.56
  • 1 234,56
  • 1,234
  • 1.234
  • 1 234
  • 1,234.567


Date Format

The default date format is: yyyy-mm-dd
You can choose one of the following formats:
  • yyyy-mm-dd
  • yyyy/mm/dd
  • m-d-yyyy
  • m/d/yyyy
  • d-m-yyyy
  • d/m/yyyy
  • mmm d, yyyy
  • mmm dd, yyyy

  • Envelope Budgeting
  • Zero-Based Budgeting

Include Credit Card Repayments in Total Spent

By default, this setting is turned off.
On the Budgeting page, the Total Spent amount does not include credit card repayments because those transactions are transfers between your accounts.
If you want credit card repayments to be treated as expenses in the Total Spent calculation, enable this setting.


Include Loan Repayments in Total Spent

By default, this setting is turned off.
On the Budgeting page, the Total Spent amount does not include loan repayments because those transactions are transfers between your accounts.
If you want loan repayments to be treated as expenses in the Total Spent calculation, enable this setting.


Reports

Include Credit Card Repayments in Expenses

By default, this setting is turned off.
On the Reports page, the total expense amount does not include credit card repayments because those transactions are transfers between your accounts.
If you want credit card repayments to be included in total expenses, enable this setting.


Include Loan Repayments in Expenses

By default, this setting is turned off.
On the Reports page, the total expense amount does not include loan repayments because those transactions are transfers between your accounts.
If you want loan repayments to be included in total expenses, enable this setting.


Important

All settings on the Budget Settings tab apply only to the currently selected budget.
You can configure each budget differently. For example:
  • Use different currencies across budgets
  • Use different number or date formats
  • Use different budgeting methods
Each budget operates independently.
