On this page, you can find the recommended first steps to complete after signing up and before you start using Pixel Budget.
After signing up, the Getting Started page appears in the app, where you can follow a similar step-by-step guide. You can use either the in-app guide or this page.
If you need help with any step, click the Help button in the top-right corner of the current page. This opens the corresponding topic in the User Guide.
Pixel Budget is available on both desktop and mobile.
On desktop:Open pixelbudget.com in your browser, then click Log In or Open App (if you are already logged in).
On mobile:Open pixelbudget.com in your mobile browser, tap Install App, and follow the on-screen steps.After installation, tap Pixel Budget on your home screen to launch the app.
Step 1: Set Up Your Locale Preferences
Select My Finances → Settings, then make sure the Budget Settings tab is selected.
Under Locale, configure:
Your currency
Currency symbol placement
Number format
Date format
Step 2: Optimize Display for Your Screen (desktop only)
Select My Finances → Settings, then click the App Settings tab.
Under Appearance, click Optimize Display for Your Screen and follow the steps.
Step 3: Set Up Your Accounts and Categories
Select My Finances → Accounts, then click Add Account.You must have at least one account to record transactions.
Select Categories → Expense Categories to manage your expense categories.By default, commonly used categories are already included. You can edit, delete, or add new ones.
Select Categories → Income Categories to manage your income categories.You can edit, delete, or add new ones as needed.
You’re all set!
Go to My Finances → Transactions, then click Add Transaction to start recording your expenses and income.
In the mobile app, tap the + icon in the bottom toolbar to add a transaction.
