Beta FAQ

Beta FAQ

What is Beta?
A Beta is a pre-release phase of the product where real users can try the app before the official launch. During this period, the app is fully functional, but improvements, bug fixes, and refinements are still ongoing based on user feedback.

What’s the difference between Private Beta and Open Beta?
  • Private Beta:Access is limited to a selected group of users. This phase focuses on early feedback, identifying critical issues, and making core improvements.
  • Open Beta:The app becomes available to a wider audience. At this stage, the product is more stable, and the focus shifts to polishing the experience and preparing for the official launch.

Who can join the Private Beta?
The Private Beta is limited to selected users. Invitations are typically sent to:
  • Existing users of other products
  • Early supporters
  • Users who signed up for early access

How can I join the Open Beta?
Once the Open Beta starts, anyone will be able to sign up directly on the website—no invitation required.

How long will the Beta last?
We don’t want to set exact deadlines. The length of the Beta will depend on user feedback—especially how many issues are reported and how quickly they can be resolved.
Our goal is to deliver a high-quality product by the end of the Beta.
Estimated duration: 6–12 months.

Is the service free during the Beta?
Yes. Using Pixel Budget—both the web app and the mobile app—is completely free during the entire Beta period.

What will be the pricing after the Beta?
You can find detailed pricing information here: https://pixelbudget.com/home#pricing

Can I use the Beta for tracking my personal finances? Is it stable enough?
Yes, absolutely.
The app has already been thoroughly tested, and most known issues have been fixed. It is stable enough for everyday use, including tracking your personal finances.
The purpose of the Beta is to:
  • Identify edge cases and remaining bugs
  • Improve usability and user experience
  • Gather real-world feedback from users
While the app is reliable, minor issues may still occur, which is exactly what the Beta helps us discover and fix.

Will new features be added during the Beta?
Yes. While the current feature set already forms a complete product, we plan to introduce additional features before the official launch.
These new features will be developed and released during the Beta.
You can learn more about planned features here: New Features Coming in Beta

Will my data be safe during the Beta?
Yes. Your data is securely stored and handled with the same care as in a production environment.
However, as with any Beta software, we recommend keeping backups of important data.

Will my data be kept after the Beta ends?
Yes. Your data will remain available after the Beta, and you will be able to continue using your account seamlessly.

Will there be breaking changes during the Beta?
We aim to avoid breaking changes whenever possible. If any significant changes are required, they will be communicated in advance.

Do I need to reinstall the app after the Beta?
No. The Beta version will transition into the final version automatically. No reinstall is required.

Can I report bugs or request features?
Absolutely! User feedback is a key part of the Beta.
You can report bugs or suggest features through:
  • The Help Center
  • The Pixel Budget Community
  • Direct email support
