Recurring Transactions

Recurring transactions are transactions that are automatically added to your Transactions page at a specified repeat frequency.

Setting Up Recurring Transactions

You can make any previously added transaction recurring.

To make an existing transaction recurring:
    Select My Finances → Transactions in the left vertical menu.
  • If the menu is not visible, click the menu icon in the top-left corner.
  • In the mobile app, tap Transactions in the bottom toolbar.
    Click the menu icon (three horizontal dots) of the transaction you want to make recurring, then select Make Recurring.
    In the Make Recurring panel, select the repeat frequency from the dropdown list.
Available options:
  • Daily
  • Weekly
  • Every 2 weeks
  • Every 4 weeks
  • Monthly
  • Every 3 months
  • Yearly
  • Custom
    If you select Custom, configure the following settings:
Custom QuantityUse the up and down arrows to increase or decrease the value.
Custom UnitSelect one of the following values from the dropdown list:
  • Day(s)
  • Month(s)
  • Year(s)
    Click Save.


How Recurring Transactions Work

If the date of the selected transaction plus the repeat frequency is in the future:
  • the next occurrence of the recurring transaction is added to the Scheduled Transactions page
  • when the date arrives, the transaction is automatically added to the Transactions page
  • the recurring transaction on the Scheduled Transactions page is automatically updated to the next occurrence
If the calculated occurrence date is today or in the past:
  • all past occurrences (including today) are automatically added to the Transactions page
  • the recurring transaction on the Scheduled Transactions page is updated to the next future occurrence


Editing Recurring Transactions

    Select My Finances → Scheduled Transactions in the left vertical menu.
  • If the menu is not visible, click the menu icon in the top-left corner.
  • In the mobile app, tap the menu icon in the top-left corner, then tap Scheduled Transactions.
    Click the menu icon (three horizontal dots) of the recurring transaction you want to edit, then select Edit Transaction.
    In the Edit Transaction dialog, you can modify the following fields:
  • Transaction Type
  • Amount
  • Vendor / Payer
  • From Account / To Account
  • Expense Category / Income Category
  • Date (date of the next occurrence)
  • Notes
    Click Save Transaction.
The date of the next occurrence can only be changed to a future date.It cannot be changed to today or a past date.


Changing the Frequency of Recurring Transactions

    Open the Scheduled Transactions page (see above).
    Click the menu icon (three horizontal dots) of the recurring transaction whose frequency you want to change, then select Edit Recurring.
    Select a different repeat frequency from the dropdown list.
    Click Save.
If you select Never as the repeat frequency, the recurring transaction becomes a one-time scheduled transaction.


Deleting Recurring Transactions

    Open the Scheduled Transactions page (see above).
    Click the menu icon (three horizontal dots) of the recurring transaction you want to delete, then select Delete Transaction.
    A confirmation dialog appears. Click Delete to confirm, or Cancel to keep the recurring transaction.
If you delete a recurring transaction, all future occurrences are also deleted.
